Dingo Canyon - Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Guide - IGN (2024)

Dingo Canyon is the last track in The Lost Ruins set. In Adventure Mode, it's unlocked by collecting the Trophy from Papu's Pyramid. This page will provide you with tips and tricks, Wumpa Coin data, Time Trial times, Relic Race requirements and CTR letter locations.

General Tips

• You get the Team Trance Body for beating this track's Trophy Race in Adventure Mode
• The Driving Style for this track is either Speed or Drift; if you struggle to take the turn after the first Turbo Pad without hitting the walls, you should use Drift.
• This is a somewhat unorthodox track because not many parts of it aren't level or straight, making it unintuitive to navigate.
• The main obstacles on this track are the armadillos that like to roll across certain points of the track. Like the giant barrels in Sewer Speedway, knowing where to pass is a useful skill, particularly on the final jump.
• After the first two corners of the track, the road will go downhill and into a watery section of the canyon. You'll want to spend as much time as possible on the dry sections on the sides and Power Sliding if possible.
• Soon after the river section the track will briefly split: if you're low on Wumpa Fruit, you'll want to take the right path as it contains a Bounce Crate to help you stock up.

Dingo Canyon Shortcut

While it may not look it, there is in fact have a Shortcut on the very first turn of the track! From the start line, go over the hill and then turn right to drive between the cliff and the cactus. Hop through the dirt as you go, continuing right past another cactus. You'll exit just past the first armadillo.

• To start, Power Slide right over the hill and take the shortcut through the dirt by hopping between the cacti and the right-hand wall. Be careful not to drive through the armadillo at the end!
• You can save a little bit of time by going through the dirt on the corner just before the downhill straight into the flooded section. Power Slide through on Lap 1 to build up Reserves, but Hop through on Laps 2 and 3!
• When you exit the flooded section, jump off the top of the hill to land on the Turbo Pad, then immediately hop and do a right-hand U-Turn to quickly get around the corner and land straight into another Power Slide.
• At the split, take the right-hand path as it'll be slightly faster than the left path.
• Holding your Sacred Fire through the flooded section on Lap 2 will give you a massive lead over the Beenox Ghost, as they won't be able to maintain it past the first corner.

Relic Race

• On the hill, to grab a both time crates in a pair, simply coast off the hill at speed: jumping off the top will risk you flying over them!
• To get the 3 crate on the outside for the first turn, approach it from a gentle angle, then do a mid-hop U-Turn as you go through it to avoid hitting the fence.
• At the end of the flooded section, you can actually get two time crates by going for the 2 crate on the right before swerving left to get the 1 crate in the middle. This will be helpful because once you get the left-hand 2 crate on the second lap, this section will be empty, letting you focus purely on racing.
• The turn after the first Turbo Pad has three time crates, two of which are hidden around the corner. You'll want to grab the 3 on the inside first as it's very easy to forget about it.
• At the split, there's only one crate on the right path, whereas the left path has two.
• There's another 3 crate hidden behind the end of the split section. When you take the right-hand route, slow down before the merge and turn left to find it.
• To get the 3 crate hanging right off the final jump, jump just before the lip so you don't fly over it.

CTR Challenge

Reward: Yellow CTR Token

The C is found on the inside of the first turn of the track, above the dirt near a skull.

The T can be collected near the end of the track. After exiting the tunnel corner and the track splits, you can collect the T where the tracks converge back together, right behind the cliff that splits the track.

The R is found off the big jump at the end of the track. Jump off of it veering right to grab it, then turn back left in mid-air so you land safely.

Dingo Canyon Beenox Crate

Dingo Canyon's Beenox Crate is found at the Turbo Pad ramp at the end of the track: it's hidden inside the waterfall. You'll need a good jump to reach it, but don't feel bad if you fall into the chasm in the process of grabbing it; only expert players can grab it without falling off.
